About this project

A visual exploration of the hidden mechanics inside the technology we use every day.

The story

This project started with a simple observation: most of us use technology we barely understand. We swipe screens, click buttons, and watch pixels dance - but the mechanisms behind these everyday miracles remain invisible.

I wanted to change that. Not by teaching programming or offering tutorials, but by revealing the elegant systems hidden beneath the surface. How does your phone know where your finger is? Why do compressed images look worse? What actually happens inside a GPU?

Each chapter is an expedition into familiar territory seen from an unfamiliar angle. The goal isn't to make you a better programmer - it's to satisfy that deep human urge to understand how things work.

The approach

Every explanation is built around visuals. Diagrams that move. Illustrations you can interact with. The kind of figures that make concepts click in a way that words alone can't achieve.

I believe complex ideas don't need complex explanations. The best technical writing strips away jargon and finds the essential shape of an idea. That's what I aim for in every chapter.

No prerequisites required. If you can read this sentence, you can follow along. Technical knowledge helps, but curiosity is the only real requirement.

The format

The content is organized into eight sections, each exploring a different domain of computing. Within each section, individual chapters deep-dive into specific topics.

Chapters are designed to be read in any order. While there's a logical progression, each piece stands alone. Jump to whatever catches your interest.

Every chapter includes interactive diagrams built specifically for that explanation. These aren't stock illustrations - they're custom-made tools for understanding.
